More than a million lives have been saved over the past decade due to increased investment in malaria prevention and control, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).

Perhaps some of that success can be attributed to efforts such as Nothing But Nets, a campaign run by the UN Foundation in partnership with the National Basketball Association (NBA) in the United States. It combines the love of basketball with the desire to do something for the greater good.
