Chibeze Ezekiel is a Ghanaian activist who mobilized an information campaign to block a coal power plant in his home country, by educating communities about the dangers of coal.

The activists won their fight, and shortly after, Ghana's president announced that all future energy generation projects would be renewable-energy based.

Mr. Ezekiel is the national coordinator of 350 Ghana Reducing Our Carbon (350 GROC), and a board member of 350.org. He won the Goldman Environmental Prize for Africa in 2020.
