UN tribunal jails Croatian journalist for publishing protected witness details

The United Nations war crimes tribunal for the former Yugoslavia today sentenced a Croatian journalist to three months in jail after he published the names and personal details of confidential witnesses who had testified in one of its cases.

Ban Ki-moon calls for efforts to bring Bosnian Serb war crimes fugitives to trial

Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon today visited the United Nations war crimes court for the Balkans wars in The Hague, Netherlands, and called for action by Security Council members to help bring the two principal Bosnian Serb fugitives, Radovan Karadžic and Ratko Mladic, to trial.
