The United Nations war crimes tribunal for the former Yugoslavia has indicted a former Croatian Serb leader for alleged crimes against humanity and war crimes.
Secretary-General Kofi Annan has appointed an Australian judge to serve on the bench of the United Nations International Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY).
