Anti-terrorism committees brief Security Council on measures and threats

Nearly a dozen experts, led by the main United Nations counter-terrorism body, are headed to Tanzania for a weeklong visit to continue the Security Council's practical, technical assistance work to strengthen the ability of countries to fight terrorism.

UN independent expert on human rights and counter-terrorism to visit Turkey

An independent expert mandated by the United Nations Commission on Human Rights to examine counterterrorism will later this month visit Turkey where he will meet with both top officials and suspected terrorists.
