A quarter of Afghans killed in 2015 were children, often targeted

That’s according to the UN’s Special Representative for Children and Armed Conflict, Leila Zerrougui, who has been on a fact-finding mission in the country this week.

First all-female UN police unit leaves Liberia

An all-female UN Indian police unit is leaving Liberia on Sunday after nine years of helping to stabilize the country.

It was the first force of its kind in the history of the United Nations peacekeeping operations.
