British entrepreneur Branson backs UN campaign against HIV discrimination

British business entrepreneur Sir Richard Branson today threw his support behind a United Nations-backed drive to rid the world finally of the remaining discriminatory laws that keep people from visiting, or living and working in countries solely because they are HIV positive.

UN official urges Mozambique to strengthen HIV/AIDS prevention programmes

The head of the United Nations agency mandated to spearhead the global response to HIV/AIDS today commended Mozambique for its commitment to fighting the disease while stressing the need to strengthen prevention programmes.
