‘Change in attitudes’ needed in peacekeeping planning if more women are to play their part

Female peacekeepers are recognized by the United Nations as being central to the success of the organization’s 14 missions around the world, but substantially increasing the overall number of women remains an elusive goal.  Ahead of a UN Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) event, Ann Blomberg from The Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces, DCAF, spoke with UN News.
