US plan to increase refugee resettlement welcomed by UNHCR

United States President Joe Biden’s proposal to raise the target for refugee resettlement there in the coming fiscal year to 125,000 people, has been welcomed by the UN refugee agency (UNHCR).

PODCAST: Somali refugee farmers put down new roots in rural US

Refugee farmers who grew up cultivating crops in Somalia have returned to the land, albeit in the United States, decades after fleeing their country’s civil war.
