Security Council extends UN missions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Prevlaka peninsula

Following the adoption of a resolution suspending the International Criminal Court's potential prosecution of United Nations peacekeepers, the Security Council today extended the mandates of the UN Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina (UNMIBH) and the UN Mission of Observers in Prevlaka (UNMOP).

Annan recommends three-month extension for UN observer mission in Prevlaka

In an effort to maintain conditions that might help the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and Croatia resolve their dispute over the Prevlaka peninsula, Secretary-General Kofi Annan has recommended that the mandate of the United Nations Mission of Observers (UNMOP) be extended for three months, until 15 October.
