Annan hails agreement by US, Russia to drastically cut deployed nuclear weapons

The United Nations Secretary-General, Kofi Annan, today welcomed the agreement between the United States and the Russian Federation to substantially reduce their deployed nuclear weapon stocks over the next decade.
