UN chief condemns abduction and killing of media workers near Ecuador-Colombia border

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres has condemned the kidnapping and killing of three media workers near the border between Ecuador and Colombia, confirmed on 13 April, as well as the subsequent kidnapping of two other Ecuadorian nationals.

'Injustice against journalists costly for society,' says UNESCO chief on International Day

Justice must be done for the murder of journalists, who perform important functions in taking forward fundamental freedoms and bolstering the strength of societies, a senior United Nations official said Thursday, marking the International Day to end impunity for crimes against them.
