UN Mission in Darfur, important ‘source of protection’ to displaced and civilians of Golo: rights chief

UNAMID is a valuable “source of protection” to people in central Jabal Marra, an area strongly affected by the long-running conflict across the Sudanese region, according to Marcel Clement Akpovo, the Mission’s Chief of Human Rights.  Mr. Akpovo, who recently met with internally displaced persons in Jabal Marra, Darfur, Sudan, spoke with UNAMID’s Setyo Budi.
