Rather than being the cause of poverty and other social ills, globalization offered the best hope of overcoming such problems, United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan told the World Economic Forum in New York today as he urged business leaders to do more to ensure that all the world’s people benefit from the phenomenon.
