Fashion designer Elie Tahari brings new look to UN tour guides
UN tour guides are enjoying a stylish new look this month, care of New York-based fashion designer, Elie Tahari.
The Iranian-Israeli emigrated to the United States in the early 1970s, and at a launch event at UN Headquarters in New York in September, he said he wanted the tailored dark blue suits to be elegant, but also practical.
He is the latest in a distinguished line of fashion houses to donate their expertise to tour guide uniform design over the years, including Christian Dior, and Benetton.
