A new humanitarian fund for education in emergencies launched at the World Humanitarian Summit, is “a powerful lever for change” that will help millions back into the classroom.
That’s the hope of Gordon Brown, UN Special Envoy for Global Education, who launched the fund at the summit along with UN Children’s Fund, UNICEF.
Education needs a “greater allocation” when it comes to humanitarian funding.
That’s the view of Sarah Brown, Executive Chair of the Global Business Coalition for Education, who’s attending the World Humanitarian Summit in Istanbul.
