Fishing kits and seeds part of aid relief in South Sudan

Nearly three million people in South Sudan this year have received some form of livelihood assistance from aid agencies operating in the country, the UN Humanitarian Affairs office (OCHA) reports.

The support has included food vouchers but also fishing kits and even locally-grown seeds, all with the goal of helping people to produce and procure their own food.

Sue Lautze is the UN Deputy Humanitarian Coordinator in South Sudan.

She talks to Ivana Mousa about the work of aid agencies in the country.
