Top UN envoy in Iraq condemns latest Baghdad bombings

The senior United Nations envoy in Iraq has condemned the three car bombs which exploded at the Al-Nahda Bus Terminal in Baghdad on Wednesday, killing 43 people and injuring 100.
“The three consecutive explosions in a crowded garage in the morning were meant to hurt as many innocent people as possible,” Secretary-General Kofi Annan's Special Representative (SRSG) Ashraf Qazi said today in a statement released by his office.
The statement also expressed Mr. Qazi’s deepest sympathies to the families of the victims and extended his condolences to the people and government of Iraq.
