Annan to conduct four-country South American tour next week

Secretary-General Kofi Annan is scheduled to start a four-country tour of South America next Tuesday.

Mr. Annan will visit Chile, Peru, Ecuador and Bolivia during his tour, which is expected to end on 15 November when he returns to New York.

In Bolivia, Mr. Annan will attend the meeting of the Ibero-American Summit.
