In Brussels, Fréchette discusses UN-EU cooperation on crisis management

The Deputy Secretary-General, Louise Fréchette, met in Brussels today with officials from the European Union for talks on cooperation with the United Nations on crisis management.

Following that meeting with the EU's Political and Security Committee, Ms. Fréchette went on to a series of encounters with the General Secretariat of the European Council and the European Commission.

The Deputy Secretary-General is expected to conclude her trip tomorrow with an address to the ministerial meeting of the African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States and the EU.
