The world famous Italian tenor, Luciano Pavarotti, will join the United Nations in a benefit concert next month dedicated to the worldwide battle against hunger, the UN Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) announced today.

Mr. Pavarotti will perform 'Pavarotti canta Verdi' on 12 October for FAO's TeleFood campaign at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco.

The TeleFood concert aims to provide food for all by raising awareness and mobilizing resources for hundreds of anti-hunger projects each costing under $10,000, with none of that money going to administrative expenses.
