DR of Congo: UN mission begins training second group of police instructors

The United Nations Organization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUC) today began training a second group of future police instructors.

Fifty-three men and one woman will be part of the five-week course in Kisangani, which is being led by UN civilian police officers.

Last month, the first group of 54 trainees completed their course, which aims to enable them to function as executive trainers in various national police training centres.
