Top UN Middle East envoy set to meet with other ‘Quartet’ members in London

The United Nations top envoy for the Middle East peace process is set to meet tomorrow with representatives from the European Union, Russian Federation and United States to discuss the latest developments in the region, a UN spokesman announced today.

Terje Roed-Larsen, the UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, is scheduled join US Assistant Secretary of State William Burns, Russian Envoy Andrei Vdovin and EU Middle East Envoy Miguel Morratinos for talks on Tuesday in London, spokesman Fred Eckhard told reporters in New York.

The so-called Quartet is expected to discuss the issues of Palestinian Authority reforms and the security situation, the spokesman said.
