Security Council extends UN Bosnia and Herzegovina mission until 30 June

UN Security Council in session
The United Nations Security Council today unanimously agreed to extend the mandate for the UN Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina (UNMIBH) until 30 June.

With the mandate due to expire today, the Council officially declared that the provisions of resolution 1357 should continue to be in force until the end of the month.

That resolution, adopted on 21 June 2001, had extended UNMIBH's mandate and authorized the continuation of the multinational stabilization force (SFOR).
