Michael Cutajar, UNFCCC Executive-Secretary
The first week of the international climate talks in Marrakech, Morocco, has made "good progress," according to the Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

According to Michael Zammit Cutajar, negotiating groups have been set up at the 7th session of the Conference of Parties to the Convention to address the technical and legal aspects of decisions on various issues.

Work is expected to continue on those issues until Tuesday night, in order to finalize the technical agreements that will be forwarded as draft decisions to the Conference's three-day High-level segment that will begin on Wednesday, 7 November, Mr. Cutajar said.
