On November 11, Heads of State and government will gather in Baku, Azerbaijan, for the 29th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, known as COP29. The delegations will have two weeks to find solutions to the pressing challenges posed by climate change, including ways to finance transition to clean energy and setting other important goals.
Whether they can meet the aspirations of their constituents and accelerate efforts to meet the goals established by the Paris Agreement remains to be seen.
In the meantime, UN News will strive to keep you informed about the latest developments on the climate agenda, the updates on COP29 preparation, and the knowledge necessary for effective climate action.
