Palestine has world’s highest unemployment rate, and it’s unsustainable: UNCTAD

Life in the Occupied Palestine Territories is unsustainable and - with nearly one in three people out of a job - it also has the world’s highest unemployment rate, a top UN official said on Wednesday.
In its latest report on life under occupation, the UN Trade and Development agency, UNCTAD, also found that nearly a quarter of a million children were in need of psychosocial support in 2017.
Isabelle Durant, UNCTAD Deputy Secretary-General, has been speaking to UN News’s Jens Renner.
