The world’s only forum for investing in entrepreneurship for the sake of making the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) a reality, gets underway in Bahrain next week.
Organized by the UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), in partnership with the government of Bahrain, the World Entrepreneurs Investment Forum opens on Tuesday.
In an interview for UN News, Hashim Hussein, head of UNIDO’s Investment, Technology and Promotion office in Bahrain, said that one key focus would be on women entrepreneurs and the frequent “economic aggression” they face, doing business.
Mr Hussein said he was proud that UNIDO and Bahrain had worked effectively together in recent years to make entrepreneurship an “integral part” of the 2030 Agenda.
May Yaacoub asked him what the main objective was of the forum.
