After steadily declining for over a decade, world hunger is once again on the rise, says the latest UN report on world food security and nutrition, released on Friday.

Some 815 million people were affected by hunger in 2016, an increase of 38 million from the previous year.

The report singles out conflict, increasingly compounded by climate change, as one of the key drivers behind the resurgence of hunger and many forms of malnutrition.
