A survey that has given voice to one million young people in Europe could also be carried out in other parts of the world, according to a senior officer with the UN cultural agency, UNESCO.

Sue Vize, who's with UNESCO’s office in Bangkok, has high hopes for a regional version of Generation What?, which asked so-called millennials to share their views on what it means to be young in Europe.

An initiative of the European Broadcasting Union, Generation What? covered issues related to family, society and the future, and she said the results could help influence government policies.

Ms Vize and the survey’s creator, Christophe Nick, took part in a panel at the 4th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue which wraps up in Baku, Azerbaijan, on Saturday.

Jocelyne Sambira caught up with her afterwards.
