Nearly a third less aid has reached people in Syria’s besieged towns this year compared with 2016 as “men with guns”…and local power-brokers continue to obstruct deliveries, the UN said on Thursday.

The information from Jan Egeland, Special Advisor to the UN, followed a scheduled meeting of the Syria humanitarian task force, in Geneva.

The panel was set up to assist millions of people now enduring a seventh year of conflict.
