One thousand children die every day from illnesses linked to poor sanitation but a new approach to wastewater could help do something about it.

That’s one of the messages from UN Water, ahead of World Water Day, which is celebrated on 22 March.

Agency spokesperson Daniella Bostrom explains to Daniel Johnson how the more efficient use of water could save lives, and be an effective sustainable investment in our health and environment.
