Any kid who “sticks out” and is different gets bullied, but it’s worse for those who are Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex (LGBTI), a UN human rights expert has warned.

Charles Radcliffe, Chief of Equality and Non Discrimination at the United Nations Human Rights Office in New York, says that children are not born hating anyone, they learn it from adults.

His office has launched a mini-campaign asking parents, teachers and governments to lead by example and protect LGBTI kids from bullying.

Jocelyne Sambira asked Mr Radcliffe what people can do to keep these children safe.
