Helping to protect people affected by conflict or disease is a key role for radio around the world.

That’s the message from Sarah Marshall, of the United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS), and the World Health Organization’s (WHO) Dr Gaya Gamhewage.

To celebrate World Radio Day, both speakers told Daniel Johnson how they had joined forces with local stations and personalities to ensure their message is heard. UNMAS’s Sarah Marshall is first.
