A consortium of donors committed to improving Haiti’s water and sanitation is needed to help eradicate cholera from the island, in support of the new government.

That’s the message being taken to the World Economic Forum in Davos by the UN Special Adviser on Haiti, and sustainable development, David Nabarro.

He’s in the Swiss resort to secure support at a special meeting on Wednesday for Haiti’s long-term recovery, from donor countries, development banks and the private sector.

Matthew Wells asked Mr Nabarro, on the line from Davos, to outline the problems still posed by cholera in the wake of Hurricane Matthew, which struck Haiti last October.
