Global unemployment rate expected to rise by 3.4 million: ILO

The global unemployment rate is expected to rise by 3.4 million this year, bringing the number of jobless people to just over 201 million.
That’s according to a report by the International Labour Organization on employment trends for 2017 and 2018.
Global wage growth has fallen to its lowest levels in four years, the agency warns.
ILO Director-General Guy Ryder has been speaking to Daniel Johnson about the global labour market situation as well as the quality of jobs available.
