Developing countries look to Dubai for “inspiration”

Developing nations are looking to Dubai for “inspiration” on how to make the UN global agenda for sustainable development a reality, the Director of the UN South-South Cooperation has said.

The city is often referred to as the “commercial capital and tourism centre” of the United Arab Emirates or UAE.

Delegates at the 2016 Global South-South Development Expo are discussing innovative solutions for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals or SDGs.

Dubai has been able to capitalize on its natural resources and develop other industries like tourism, banking and finance, as Jorge Chediek told Ben Malor.
