The migrant and refugee crisis in Europe has had a strong “moral impact’ on the tiny Principality of Monaco according to Minister of State, Serge Telle.

More than a million people crossed the Mediterranean Sea alone in 2015 fleeing from conflict and instability in places like Syria, Iraq, Eritrea, Nigeria and Afghanistan.

Isabelle Dupuis spoke to Mr Telle during his recent visit to the high-level debate of the UN General Assembly.

She began by asking him about the impact of the crisis on Monaco, which borders France, on the Mediterranean shore.
