Boko Haram crisis has “devastated” Lake Chad region’s economy

The security and humanitarian crisis brought on by the Boko Haram terrorist group across Africa’s Lake Chad Basin has “devastated” the region’s economy.

That’s according to Jeffrey Feltman, UN Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs, briefing the UN Security Council on Wednesday.
