Information, and the pursuit of it, is becoming more and more dangerous with over 800 journalists killed in the past decade alone.
That’s one of the headlines to emerge from a panel discussion on the safety of journalists working in the field held at UN Headquarters in New York.
The panel heard that journalists should not be treated like combatants, but seen as professionals searching for the truth, on the public’s behalf.
