A new project to help gather life-saving data on health trends has been launched, involving 18 countries from around the world.

The Data for Health Initiative is being driven by Bloomberg Philanthropies, in collaboration with the Australian government, together with public agencies, including the World Health Organization (WHO).

Lubna Bhatti is a WHO physician and epidemiologist.
