“Resisting human nature” is necessary to plan for and reduce the risk of disasters.

That’s according to Robert Glasser, head of the UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction, UNISDR.

Mr Glasser has been participating in the meeting on the implementation of the Sendai Framework this week in Asunción, Paraguay.

He spoke with Carla Garcia, who began by asking him about the link between disaster and poverty.
