Mobilization of effective policies to fight AIDS and HIV is vital in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, the only regions where the epidemic continues to grow.

That’s according to Michel Kazatchkine, the UN special envoy for HIV and AIDS for those nations.

Mr Kazatchkine has been attending the UNAIDS High Level Meeting on Ending Aids this week at UN headquarters in New York.

He spoke to Cristina Silveiro.
