We are winning the war against HIV/AIDS but countries need to stay focused, the head of the agency dedicated to fight the epidemic has said.

UNAIDS chief Michel Sidibé made the remarks ahead of a two-day High-Level meeting on ending AIDS in New York.

New HIV infections have fallen by 35 per cent and AIDS-related deaths by 41 per cent.
