Peacekeeping is one way to help countries recover their physical, “moral, and psychological health.”

That’s the passionate view of Paul Mucasa Sally, a UN Volunteer, working as a peacekeeper with the UN-African Mission in Darfur, UNAMID.

A total of 154 troops and 47 police have died serving UNAMID in the troubled region of Sudan.

In an interview ahead of the International Day of United Nations Peacekeepers, marked on 29 May, he told Jumbe Omari Jumbe, that it was a “cause worth dying for.”
