The first ever World Humanitarian Summit has come to a close with the UN Secretary General, describing it as “not an end point, but a turning point.”

Ban Ki-moon said that governments, humanitarian and development partners had “agreed on a new way of working” by investing in “resilient communities” and “stable societies”.

The UN estimates that 130 million people around the world, currently need aid to survive, and more people have been forced from their homes than at any time since the Second World War.

So given the scale of the task, what do some of the main players who came to Istanbul think has been achieved?
