Turkey’s invitation to UN human rights chief Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein to visit the country following concerns over reported mass rights violations is welcome but does not go far enough, his office has announced.

What’s needed is full and unhindered access by human rights experts to affected populations in the south-east of the country, not a “public relations exercise”, the UN office said.
