A nuclear bomb unravelling into strings for children’s kites, or a weapon of mass destruction made of nothing more harmless than flowers….
Just two of the many stunning entries in the United Nations Office Of Disarmament Affairs’ (UNODA) poster competition.
The unveiling of the posters in Geneva coincides with discussions at the UN in the Swiss city by the Open-ended Working Group on Nuclear Disarmament.
You can see all of the entries if you go to www.unposterforpeace.org
Hollywood A-lister and UN Messenger Of Peace Michael Douglas told Daniel Johnson why the competition is so important, with a little help from his wife, along with Kim Won-soo, UN High Representative for Disarmament Affairs.
