The edge of development for digital technology is shifting away from Western nations in favour of the developing world.

That’s according to Alexander De Croo, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Development Cooperation and Digital Agenda in Belgium.

He explained how mobile money and mobile health care have been put to use in nations like Bangladesh, Kenya, and Uganda.

Janie Cangelosi spoke to Mr De Croo at the High Level Thematic Debate on Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) held last week at UN Headquarters.
