The signing of the Paris Agreement on climate change represents hope for Pacific Island nations.

That’s the opinion of Tony de Brum, the Ambassador for Climate Change of the Marshall Islands, who was at UN headquarters for the historic event.

The agreement seeks to limit global temperature rise to below two degrees Celsius, something small island developing states like the Marshall Islands welcome as they face rising sea levels and other impacts related to climate change.

Dianne Penn caught up with Mr de Brum on the margins of the signing ceremony.
